|sidayanqi||12:45 am - Looking for a female roomate to rent a 2 bedroom + 2 bathroom condon starting from August 1st|
I am a new MLIS student and I will be in London on July 30. Is there anyone who would like to rent a 2 bedroom + 2 bathroom condo with me? We will both have our own bathroom this way. Please feel free to email me @ firstname.lastname@example.org.

|liddylib||12:20 am - Fall 2014 course selection question|
I'm starting my MLIS in the fall and we recently got our course time table. I have a few decisions to make regarding some professors and time slots this week and I was wondering if anyone who has completed the program has any good or bad recommendations for profs. Here's the choices:
9001: Dalton or Johnson
9002: Campbell or Rubin
9003: Rothbauer or Pollak
No options for 9004 (Xiou) or 9005 (Roberts) besides different class times. I know opinions probably differ widely based on teaching preferences and what not, but if there's someone I shouldn't miss taking a class with while in the program I'd love to know in advance.
Thanks for your feedback. I can't wait to start in a few weeks. :)

|forkmeup||03:31 pm - Taking a day or two off while doing a co-op.|
I was wondering if anyone was able to take a day or two off while doing a co-op? I may need to take one or two days off during my co-op to attend my cousin's wedding, but I don't know if that would even be possible.
Thanks in advance!

|ereshkigal_girl||10:06 pm - Course Load|
I'm starting the MLIS in January and I was hoping for opinions on course load - should I be taking all 5 required in one term, or doing 4 and leaving stats till second term? What is the most common option, and how realistic is doing five courses while holding a part time job?

|forkmeup||11:17 am - Starting in the fall.|
So I'll be starting the program in the fall (in 3 weeks!) and just wanted to reach out to fellow MLIS'ers.
I was mainly curious about how previous grads have found job searching after graduation? Did you manage to get a full time job afterwards? Are you glad that you got the degree? I've been staying up too late reading horror stories and it's been giving me anxiety.

|lawlib2013||03:50 pm - Apartment for Rent- 1 bedroom|
I am finishing up my MLIS in August 2013. My apartment is available for rent for August (or even August 15th-31st if you only need it for a couple weeks). My rent is $939.00 monthly. I live in Barclay Towers highrise at 695 Talbot on the 7th floor. It's a 1-bedroom apartment with dishwasher, balcony, and lots of storage space. There is laundry in the building. If you want to sign a lease with the landlord after August, I can put you in touch with Terracorp Property Management Inc. and my building manager.
Let me know if you are interested!
Good luck to you in the MLIS program at Western this Fall!

|megsioui||10:33 pm - Housing? |
Hi! I'm starting the MLIS program in the fall and am trying to find housing!
Just wondering what these areas are like ... I'm looking at a few apartments- one on Wharncliffe Rd N, one on Dundas, one on Central Ave and one on Western Rd near the school. Any of these known to be terrible areas or good areas? Any great bus routes I should know about?
Thanks and can't wait to meet everyone this fall :)

|uwoguy45||09:58 am - Waiting|
I don't know if I am alone on this but I am still waiting to hear back for September. My application seems to have been a bit later in going in than most, although it is now the start of the eighth week and I am beginning to worry. Does anyone know if this is normal? I don't want to be the person who harasses the department but the waiting game is very hard to cope with in terms of stress. (I'm sure you have all been there) I have checked the mail daily, have my email set to update every 15 minutes and check in to the student profile every day about 8-9 times a day...
I guess my question is what is the best method of approaching this situation, I don't want to be a bother. Maybe I should just wait it out for a few more weeks? I know the deadline is June 20th, so it could be possible they are waiting on those entries before ruling on my application?

|yirna||11:17 pm - Questions about London -- Any takers?|
So I'm pretty excited to be moving to London in September--close to the heart of the country, and all that. ;) I'm wondering if anyone has any advice about where the most convenient places to live are, how easy it is to get an 8-month lease (I want to do a co-op next summer hopefully), opinions about renting a room in a house vs an apartment, etc.
My two biggest question are:
1) What building are most of the MLIS classes in?
2) I've heard that there's a student bus pass included in the student fees. Is this true? Would it be easier to bring my car? How good is the transit system?
Whoo! It's nice to get that all out. If anyone has any insight on this, I'd love to hear it. My biggest point of anxiety regarding moving is where I'm going to live, so please let me know what you think!

|uwogirl13||03:49 pm - September 2013|
Has anyone heard anything yet? I've still heard nothing, not even an e-mail saying they've received my application. I sent in my application on December 6th. So... three months ago, approximately.
Maybe I should e-mail them?
UPDATE: After a few e-mails, another academic reference, and some waiting, I am happy to say I received my offer of admission :-) See you guys in September! :D
